the thursday before christmas, we were sitting down for supper and adam kept saying that he thought we all needed to open a present early. i really had no clue why, since santa was coming that night for the kids and we were going to do our little family christmas the following morning. anyway, i never turn away a gift, so i agreed. i went to the living room and got a gift for the kids and him, while he went out to the garage and came in with a bag that had been stuffed nicely with tissue paper. the kids went first. fletcher was thrilled that he finally got to open a gift and we were curious how B would do, if she'd know what to do.
when it was my turn, i took out the tissue paper and then took out a small box that had numbers on it and said 'rebel'. as i took it out, i gave him a very confused stare. he told me to keep digging, so i pulled another box out that also said 'rebel' on it. not until i turned the box and saw a picture of a camera, did i know what it was. i was completely shocked. i wanted another camera, but didn't directly ask for one because i knew something like this was out of our current budget. he did good! a complete surprise and very much appreciated. i feel terrible for what i got him, sticking to our initial $100 limit. i have a lot to learn about my new camera, but hopefully in the next year, i'll be close to capturing pictures like i want, that i won't be embarrassed to put on my walls.
