green is in the air

Today Fletcher and I went to the annual St. Patrick's Day parade downtown. Since it is spring break in the DM district, my friend Hollie, her two kids and their friends came along for the festivities. We showed up about 45 minutes before the parade was suppose to start, just to get a good spot...we did! We all enjoyed the parade, all the crazies with green hair, spray painted dogs and those dancing a jig. Fletcher seemed to have fun, as much fun as he could possibly have all bundled up in his stroller. He was so good the whole time, even taking a snooze with all the chaos and loud noise going on. After many beads and a load of candy, it was over and we made our way back to the car, just in time for the sun to come out.
Once we arrived home (back to my parents' house), we went outside to enjoy the beautiful, sunny weather we were expecting at 10am. This was Fletcher's first, real walking experience outside. He did a really good job adjusting to cement vs. grass. We ventured over to the neighbors and played with Quinten, his pups and a few other neighbor kids. Fletcher enjoyed throwing and chasing the balls that were out. He even got excited by one of the puppies that came to play. With so much fresh air, I'm expecting a baby to be to bed early...I'll keep my fingers crossed.
