Passing time

This school year, since Fletcher is on an IEP, I have to take him to the elementary on Wednesday mornings for speech. Since I'm already out of the house, I usually run a few quick errands or sit and wait for him in the parking lot. Lately, baby girl has been restless waiting for him and nothing I bring to occupy her is enough, so I decided to hit up the public library one day. Our library has a nice kids' room that can be closed off so noise doesn't escape, and there are other activities other than just books for the kids to do. Brynlee actually did well with the books (she likes to tear pages), was engaged in the puzzles for a period of time, played with the blocks and loved hugging the giant stuffed frog. While we were only there for about 25 minutes, it was a nice changes from our daily routine. We've been a couple more times since the first time and each time we read a few books, pick a couple to check out and surprise Fletcher with a DVD.
