the food battle...again

last thursday, i wasn't in the mood to 'prepare' anything for fletcher's lunch, so i relied on this:

lately, we have been 'fighting' with him to eat. some days he likes pasta, some days he doesn't. some days he likes peas, some days he doesn't. most days, he doesn't like carrots...but i wasn't worried much about that. i figured if i gave him a spoon, he would eat some of it. needless to say, this is where most of it ended up...

and this is what the little boy who didn't eat much of his lunch looked like. he's not messy from eating. he's messy because he was playing in it and covering his eyes and mouth when i was telling him to eat.
i really don't enjoy meals like this. it sure doesn't make for a happy mommy when i have to clean this mess up. it may not look like much, but you can't see the food stuck to the wall.
note to self: don't waste money on quick meals...make something you know he WILL eat, with little mess.
